**Purpose of Role:**
Job Description:
This role will be as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) to an assigned BT customer. As such, the resource will help develop strategic and tactical plans for the customer s voice and other related network estates. The position is one of high visibility within the customer s business, because the resource will work with the customer s SME s and will also interface with the customer s senior management. Additionally, the SME will assist with architecting network topologies and the deployment of those topologies. Accordingly, the candidate must be self-starting; need no supervision and hold an active Cisco CCIE (Voice) certification; preferably hold other voice/data-related certifications; is knowledgeable of unified communication and contact center technologies, as well as protocols such as IP and SIP. In addition, the SME should have extensive technical and managerial experience with BT and Cisco voice products/offerings and is expected to become fully familiar with BMS networks and systems infrastructure to increase the acquisition of BT products and offerings by the customer.
**Key Responsibilities:**
-To be a Subject Matter Expert for various voice and related data networks/systems/applications.
-To develop long term partnership with assigned customer.
- To provide Voice of the Customer capabilities to support the BMS Network Services team
-To act as a source for the resolution of unique or complex problems which affect performance of assigned customer s voice applications, systems and networks.
-To provide strategic direction/vision across assigned customer s business units and users.
- To provide architecture/design input and guidance to the CTO of the BT account team.
- To demonstrate knowledge-based leadership for work teams or task forces, particularly in regard to emerging areas within assigned customer s voice-related functions and/or processes.
-To share expertise with colleagues and others by offering mentoring and guidance.
-To assist with resolution of customer s major system and network issues.
-To contribute by providing direction to others.
-To ensure that seamless handoff occurs from BT Delivery to Service Assurance.
- To ensure that root cause analysis occurs for tower specific issues that occur in BT s operations environment. Works with problem manager and process improvement manager to ensure this happens.
- To pursue continuing education opportunities in tower specific technology.
- To participate in required customer-specific meetings that are related to his/her specific tower expertise.
- To work directly with BT pre-sales/architecture, delivery, and operations teams to ensure seamless transition and continuity.
- To work with BT PMO and technical teams to ensure proper alignment with service requests and customer priority.
- Provide written monthly updates for specific assigned customer towers.
- Provide management leadership and support during P1 and P2-escalated issues.

-Acts and improves as a Subject Matter Expert, as well as contributor.
-Increases revenue by demonstrating value of BT Products and offerings to assigned customer.
-Brings other BT Subject Matter Experts and Product Managers to increase opportunities for BT products and offerings.
-Demonstrate fully familiarity with assigned customer s voice related estate and how BT products and offerings could improve same.
**Authority/Decision Making:**
-Operates with no supervision in a complex/demanding environment.
-Assists with determining technical objectives and setting/implementing strategic/tactical
plans, as well as solutions.
-Relevant professional experience and senior level experience.
- Baccalaureate degree in telecommunications/IT degree is required.
- Master s degree in telecommunications/IT is preferred.
- Cisco CCIE (Voice) is required.
- Additional Cisco, Microsoft (Skype for Business), AWS, Contact Center, Unified Communications certifications are preferred.
- 5 to 10 years of telecommunications experience.
- Recognized as an expert in voice networks, systems and applications
- Anticipates assigned customer s business needs by understanding legislative/other issues that may impact customer s business/industry
-Able to manage costs, expenses and profitability as they relate to BT and assigned customer s business.
- Acts as a resource for the resolution of unique or complex problems which affect/impact their role, as well BT s and/or assigned customer s business.
-Adapts to change as needed on behalf of BT and/or assigned customer .
- Manages BT management s. colleague s and assigned customer s management/stakeholder s expectations
- Excellent written, verbal and presentation skills.
