Job Description:
SKIDATA, a leading provider of access solutions for parking facilities and resorts around the world is currently seeking a driven hands:on Field Systems Engineer to perform maintenance, troubleshooting, installation and configuration of the networks, systems, servers, and equipment for our customers in and around the greater Minneapolis area. You must be able to show initiative, work independently and support both internal (technicians) and external customers. Must be willing to learn and keep up with rapidly evolving technology.

Must be willing to work remotely when needed and dispatched when required, work in the field 25 : 75 of the time.
Duties and Responsibilities:
:Configuration of new hardware and system equipment prior to field deployment. This includes servers, PCs, SKIDATA hardware and intelligent controllers.
:Preparation and deployment of new Software version releases, service pack releases, hot:fix Releases. Software includes MS and SKIDATA application software.
:Performing maintenance and service of the systems hardware, components, software and networks
:Troubleshooting failed systems and networks to device level
:Adjust, repair, trouble shoot SKIDATA equipment
:Work on a help desk, providing phone and remote support to both our technicians and customers.
:Provide training and appropriate tools to the service staff that enable them work in an efficient way by providing regular training and guidance
:Takes the lead for project installations, network integration and system configuration projects
:Communicates clearly and accurately with customers, on:site Representatives, and Service Management
:Provides timely feedback to senior management regarding performance
:Adheres to all company policies, procedures and business ethics codes
:Accurately tracks time and inventory using our electronic management and time tracking tools
:Responsible for safe use of company communication devices (laptop, tablet, cell phone)
:Properly maintains a vehicle and keeps it in good running condition.
:Demonstrates ability to interact and cooperate with all company employees
:Excellent knowledge of the latest in hardware, networking, and system architecture
:Knowledge of ICT (Information and Communications Technology) in VMWare environment, data process orientation, solution orientation
:Knowledge of TCP/IP Communication, VMware, Linux, Windows, SQL, Visual Studio, API (Application Programming Interface) in a Windows environment
:Familiarity with Voltmeters or other electronic test equipment including a working ability to identify PC architecture and network components
:Highly organized with excellent planning skills
:Ability to interface and communicate at all levels of an organization both internally and externally
:Experience with software applications, programs
:High degree of self:responsibility along with team and organizational commitment
:Bachelors degree preferred, Technical
